Imagine I would give you a blank sheet of paper and a pen.
Now imagine that I ask you to take the pen and write your ideal life story on that piece of paper. Let’s say you have 24 hours to do so.
And imagine you take up the pen and start to write.
What do you think the result will be?
Will your ideal life story be exactly the same as your current life story?
Or will there be differences? Are there things in your current life that ideally you would like to change?
For most of us our current life will not be (fully) in line with our ideal life.
When we do this exercise, we might come to realise that we would prefer a different job. Or we would have different relationships in our ideal life. Or we would be more self-confident and have more courage to pursue our dreams. Or…
When you make a conscious effort to look at your life this way, you are becoming more aware of who you would like to be, what you would like to do and what you would like to have. You become more aware of your life. You start to realise what really matters to you.
Maybe you might want to ask at this moment: ‘So what? My life is my life and there is not much I can do about, right?’
Well… no, you can most certainly do much about it!
As Vikas Malkani says: ‘You are the author of your own life story!’ Nobody else than you writes the story of your life. In other words: you are the creator of your life.
You create your life based on the thoughts in your mind and the actions you take. Your mind is a powerful tool for creation.
The thing though is that most of us do not make very effective use of our mind. We end up with a life that is not in line with our ideal.
But not to worry. Here is a powerful piece of wisdom: we all can change!
Through proper mind training we can learn how to leverage our mind to create the life that we want. A trained mind will help us to write the next chapters of our life story in line with our ideal life story. How does that sound?
The younger we learn about the power of our mind, the earlier we can start to write the life story that we want.
Mind training for your child is the best support you can give to your child. It is a necessary and value adding complement to every education.
Mind training for adults is the best investment you can make in yourself. It gives you the awareness and tools to create the life that you want.
